Peyton's Brushy Creek Adventure

Today my family went in a walk with the dogs. I was on my scooter. You can see a picture of it on my blog.

First, we went to a trail and saw a creek with a pond. Beaux jumped into the water and got wet.

Then, we went to another trail and had to stop at a bridge because the trail isn't finished.

Then we went to another trail and climbed down to Brushy Creek. My dad saw a turtle and I saw a huge bird.

I climbed on some rocks across the creek and Beaux jumped in so he can cool off. He stayed in the water for a long time.

Then we saw some baby frogs that were the size of rolly pollies. There were ten of them jumping to the creek. I caught two of them, but then we let them go because my dad told me to. Once I let them go, I realized that we should leave them there so they baby frogs can turn into real frogs.

I wish we lived on the creek, because it is hot to ride my scooter there. You can find big frogs and little frogs and rolly pollies and butterflies and ants and turtles and big birds. I would add it to the list of best things that have ever happened to me.

Peyton's lost tooth

Peyton lost her tooth tonight. She lost it at the right time, the night before school starts. She tripped over Beaux and fell on the floor, knocking her tooth loose. Now she is missing both of her front teeth, and she looks really cute.

Summer fun collecting crystals and shells

Did you have a great summer? I did. This summer, I swam on the Fast Frogs swim team and we went to San Antonio, Arkansas, Chicago, and Grand Cayman. We collected lots of crystals in Arkansas and shells at Grand Cayman.

In Arkansas, we went to a crystal mine before we went on a lake. We found quartz crystals in the mine and we found some on islands at the lake too. My favorite crystal was one that I sold to a friend for $9. It was clear and pointy and it was very big.

We collected a lot of shells on the beach in Grand Cayman. The shells were all sorts of colors and designs. They were white, brown, and yellow. My dad found a big clamshell for me and my sister when he was snorkeling.

Chocolate chip breakfast muffins

This morning, me and my dad cooked chocolate chip muffins that we bought at HEB. The muffins are really tasty. They are called Simple Mornings and they are new. We have made these before, about five or six times. They are my second favorite muffin. My favorite muffins are jumbo cinnamon muffins, also from HEB. We usually get donuts at Shipley's on Saturday, but we made muffins instead.

Here is the recipe for making the chocolate chip breakfast muffins.
  1. Get in your car and drive to HEB.
  2. Go to the muffin aisle and get Simple Mornings Chocolate Chip muffin mix.

  3. Pay for the muffin mix at the checkout line.
  4. Put the muffin mix in your car and drive home from HEB.
  5. You will need 2 large eggs, 3/4 cup of water, 1/3 cup of oil.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  7. Line a muffin pan with 12 baking cups.
  8. Empty the muffin mix into a large bowl.
  9. Stir the eggs, water, and oil, and muffin mix until it is moist. After about 50 strokes, the batter will be slightly lumpy.

  10. Spoon the batter into the muffin pan. Fill the cups to about 2/3 full.

  11. Ask your parent to bake them in the center of the oven at 400 degrees for 16 minutes.
  12. Cool the muffins for 5-10 minutes when they are done cooking.

  13. Remove them from the pan and eat them.
There were twelve muffins. I ate three muffins for breakfast and Peyton ate one. So, there are eight left that we will save for tomorrow morning and to eat as a snack later today.

My exercise workout today

Today I exercised on my scooter. I rode it around the whole neighborhood with my family. My mom was walking the dogs, Buster and Beaux. Sydney and my dad rode their bikes. My scooter is electric and it was not charged all the way last night. I ran out of power when we were almost home, and my dad pulled it the rest of the way on his bike. I walked home and plugged it in to charge so I can ride it again tomorrow. Riding my scooter makes me tired, because my thumb hurts after a long ride.

Mini beads creation

Today my babysitter took me to Walmart and we bought mini beads. They come with shapes that you can put the mini beads in. After the shapes are filled up, you iron them for 20-30 seconds with paper on top and then you peal them out of the shape. Then you can make more shapes with the mini beads and have a collection. I made a rainbow star today. When you iron the beads, be careful so that the beads all are melted together before you stop ironing.

Fun times with turtles in Grand Cayman

When I was in Grand Cayman my mom and dad took me and Peyton to the turtle farm. We saw baby turtles and eggs in a hatchery. There were bins filled with eggs that were waiting to hatch. We saw some after they hatched.

We got to pet turtles. We also saw adult turtles that were huge, and we got to feed them. When they ate the food, they would spit water out their nose.

I will tell you a secret in case you visit the turtle farm in Grand Cayman. If you pet a turtle's chin slowly while you hold it, the turtle will not flop around.

Sunday Taco Recipe

This is a recipe for adding toppings to any taco in the world.

You can put ice cream, sprinkles, and any candy you want in your taco.

Just for fun, you can add a little bit of love.

You can share it with your sister, your mom, your dad, or just with yourself.

This might seem a little bit gross to you, but it is actually really yummy.
